Architecture

Work with you to design a system.

Drawing the system is the easy part. The lab draws the one your organisation will actually run, not the one it describes on paper.

The lab studies your practices and your technology together, then applies frameworks from computational social science to design the system: what technology should carry, where it makes people more effective, and what has to stay human. What comes back is a map, and your own team builds from it. The reading under that map is the part that is hard to do from inside, because the logic that runs a place is invisible to the people running it. That reading is what you are hiring.

The move

Unread, context is drift. Read, it is structure.

Worked example · 01

The copilot that believed the org chart

An AI copilot routes its suggestions as if the org chart were true. In the organisation it lands in, authority actually flows through tenure. The people it needed to carry never see themselves in it, and adoption dies. The model was fine; it was built on the stated context instead of the enacted one.

Worked example · 02

The product that assumed the wrong decider

A product designed in one market ships into another, where the unit of decision is the family, not the individual. Onboarding speaks to a single user; the decision is made at a table the product never reaches. The funnel reads as disinterest. The context was never read.

If what you are building meets human behaviour, write to the lab.
